We have only been to John Lewis to look at prams - although a wonderful store and providing well-informed staff, they didn't really have a huge range of twin buggies - but maybe thats because there are not too many out there to choose from? Particularly as we want an in-line one. They did however, have the I-candy peach blossom which we were interested in and consequentially purchased. Price wise, I feel they are very competitive. you could perhaps purchase the same elsewhere for a sliightly lower price, but I trust the John Lewis name and service more. In addition, we plan to get a single (one in pram and other baby in baby bjorn) or two singles to give us more flexibility and we will certainly return to John Lewis to review our options.

John Lewis, helpful staff - but not that many of them in the baby dept.

John Lewis, Oxford Street, London W1. I found the assistant very helpful, she demonstrated the various models I was interested in by showing me, step by step, how they collasped and how easy they were to re-instate into push mode, she also pointed out their special features, how light weight or not they were, the additional accessories that went with them, she even quoted the manufacture's guarantee period. All this, as well as the John Lewis price promise. The assistant took her time and made sure that I was happy, I even managed to wheel several pushchairs around the shopfloor to get a feel on how they handled! The only downside I found, was that John Lewis had reduced their baby department since their refurbishment so that the selection for prams and pushchairs and other baby equipment were not as extensive as in previous years. That said, I think the selection on offer concentrated more on quality and as a firm believer of 'you get what you pay for' I would recommend you shop here for a long term investment (especially if you are are planning on having two or more!) in childcare equipment.
