Our specialist timetable includes swimming, tennis, dance, ICT and music, all of which are taught by expert and dedicated staff. Our experienced teachers adopt a child-centred approach and believe the way to learn is through active, hands-on play. By recognising that all children are different, the Nursery provides a happy, warm and secure learning space, which inspires children and gives them a positive attitude to work and others.
Our fantastic Forest School is one of our best kept secrets. It is situated in the school grounds and is a superb facility for outdoor learning as it has its own badger sett, pond, camp fire and animal habitats so the children can experience first hand the wonders of nature, in a controlled yet exciting environment.
During play times the children have fun in the newly designed play area and when they have worked up an appetite, the delicious home cooked meals and snacks are served by the teachers in the fully equipped and self-contained dining room.
As the Lodge Nursery is part of St Andrew’s Prep school, the children enjoy full use of the extensive facilities, which include an indoor swimming pool, vast playing fields and a modern music block. Throughout the year there are frequent visits from educational organisations.
The next step for your child is moving onwards and upwards to our wonderful Pre-Prep department. Thanks to regular integration with the Pre-Prep through assemblies and concerts, the transition from Nursery is stress-free for both children and parents.
