Blackbrook Zoological Park

The zoo is set amid the Staffordshire moor lands and has a large and varied collection of some of the rarest and most endangered species in the world. There is so much to see, a day is hardly enough

Blackbrook Education Centre

A children's Education Centre helps bring the zoo to life with lots of information to read up on. There are all sorts of reptiles, fish, birds, insects and mammals - from pythons to small sharks, penguins, vultures, African geese, kookaburras and ostriches. There are two play areas, one inside and one outside (with bark flooring).

Facilities at Blackbrook

The Toucan Tea Rooms (homemade and children's helpings) and baby-changing facilities behind the shop. Just about everywhere is accessible by pram/buggy except one area, which has an alternative route.  There is a gift shop for "zoo" themed items such as cuddly toys, stationery and games.

Blackbrook Opening Times

Open daily from 10.30am-5.30pm, but closed over the Christmas period.

We strongly recommend you ring Blackbrook Zoological Park before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Blackbrook Zoological Park, www.blackbrookzoo.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Blackbrook Zoological Park hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
