Bronwydd Arms Station, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, Wales

You will begin your journey at Bronwydd Arms station where you will board a train to Danycoed Halt. The journey will last an hour or you can ride the train all day for the ticket price and kids are just £2. The train takes you through the open fields and wooded hills, around the River Gwili for about 3/4 of a mile. You will have the opportunity to alight at Llwyfan Railway and use the stations miniature railway. Once you return to Broddwyn Arms Station you can visit the stations museum and after that grab a hot or cold refreshment at the Tea Room in the station yard. Also to celebrate the festive season visit the railway in December for their Santa's Magical Steamings days. 

We strongly recommend you ring Gwili Steam Railway before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Gwili Steam Railway, www.gwili-railway.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Gwili Steam Railway hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
