Eastleigh Lakeside Railway is a miniature dual gauge that takes you  from Eastleigh Parkway to Monks Brook Halt. The station is open at 10am and closes at 4pm on a daiy basis and runs every weekend of the year. An adult fare is just £3.50 and a child aged 2-15 years is just £2.50. There is a cafe on site which offers breakfast and lunch meals for a reasonable price. To start off the Autumn months you can go and visit Thomas and friends on their Thomas day out and to celebrate Christmas they have their Santa Specials. 

We strongly recommend you ring Eastleigh Lakeside Railway before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Eastleigh Lakeside Railway, www.steamtrain.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Eastleigh Lakeside Railway hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
