Ilam, Ashbourne, Derbyshire

This beautiful area of open park and woodland runs along both banks of the river Manifold offering spectacular views of the countryside towards Dovedale. The park has baby-changing and feeding facilities, pushchairs and baby back-carriers are admitted. Children can enjoy their own guide and quiz/trail. The tea-room has a children's menu. The park is open all year round however the tea-room is closed on weekdays in the winter.

We strongly recommend you ring Ilam Park before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Ilam Park, www.nationaltrust.org.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Ilam Park hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
