Picnic area in fantastic gardens and animal enclosures are two of the many reasons to visit Horniman. Music and musical instruments from all around the world and a grass-roofed house get the little ones thinking. They have great children's activities lined up for the holidays. Weekends and under 5's storytelling sessions with Auntie Dee and Nzinga Dance journeying through the stories, games, dances and songs of Africa and the Caribbean. The new re-vamped aquarium is open after a huge £15m overhaul. Café and restaurant is open with highchairs, changing facilities and shop. Open 10.30am-5.30pm daily, (Closed Dec 24-26). Admission free.
