Magnificent Elizabethan mansion set in 300 acres of Capability Brown parkland, and home to the Constable family for nearly half a century.  Outside the house there are gardens with statues, a delightful orangery, a stable block and wild fowl lakes – all of which make a wonderful setting for family picnics.  Grounds open daily 12.30-5.30pm April-October (closed Friday).  Tea room, shop.

We strongly recommend you ring Burton Constable Hall before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Burton Constable Hall, www.burtonconstable.com, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Burton Constable Hall hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
