Yarpole, Nr Leominster, Herefordshire

A manor house set in extensive parkland with a walled garden and vineyard. There is a children's quiz sheet and trail including lots of other events throughout the year; Easter egg hunt, countryside and crafts fair and a fungi walk (call for details). The Carpenter's Tea Room has a children's menu. All terrain buggy available for use in grounds, baby-changing facilities, baby slings for walking around the castle. Open from March-November, Wed-Sun from 1pm (castle opens at 1pm, grounds, tea shop and shop open from 11am). Out of season only open at weekends, from 12pm.

We strongly recommend you ring Croft Castle before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Croft Castle, www.nationaltrust.org.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Croft Castle hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
