On a warm day the grounds make an excellent place for a picnic or, pop into the café where you will find a variety of sandwiches, soups and light bites and the 'Little Squires' box for you little Squire's lunch. There are baby changing facilities provided and also a parking area. The castle is 6 miles east of Chesterfield on the A632, off the M1 at junction 29 (signposted.)
