BabyBjörn venture into drinking cups
BabyBjörn are one of the most focused nursery brands in the world. Although they do have wider ranges in other countries like the US, they are still most widely known for their great baby carriers, changing bags and baby seats. However for some time they have also made feeding accessories and their new cup is a welcome addition.
BabyBjörn’s new first drinking cup
The market may seem flooded with cups for older babies and young toddlers to use, but many leak or are a real hassle to clean. This model solves both those problems and is easy to grip, whilst being shaped just like an open glass that mummy or daddy might use.
The progression from bottles to cups is an important one for small infants as it helps their oral development. This cup has evolved with the help of paediatricians in order to create a cup that helps to get a baby drinking properly.
It also benefits from the attention of BabyBjörn’s team of funky designers – its unique design gives it a low centre of gravity so it’s hard to knock over, and it can be easily used as a feeding container.
The new cup is made from a soft, easy to use material and contains no BPA (Bisphenol-A) or phthalates, but it is durable and recyclable. It is also safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher.
It’s available in two colours, red and green, and it co-ordinates with the other items in BabyBjörn’s kitchen range: the feeding plate and spoon, soft bib, eat and play smock, booster seat, safety seat and the new high chair.
It has an RRP of £8.99.
