Fifth Disease
Epidemics often occur in schools, however Children are not particularly unwell.
Children develop a red rash initially over the face (hence "slapped cheek disease"), which then spreads down the body and limbs. The colour fades first from the central areas leaving a lacy appearance to the rash. It lasts about a week, and there are rarely complications.
