The Portland Hospital is opening its doors to welcome visitors on Sunday 10th October 2010 from 10:30am to 4:30pm to its Pregnancy Open Day.

The open day provides an ideal opportunity for parents-to-be and medical professionals to visit the UK’s largest, private maternity unit which has undergone a major redesign programme including our new obstetric floors. Guests are offered guided tours of the hospital’s facilities including the delivery suites, maternity wards and nurseries.

Our open day is free to all who are either pregnant or just thinking about having a baby. Our chief executive Janene Madden, who incidentally gave birth to her latest baby at the Portland not to long ago, said she is always delighted to welcome parents-to-be to our open days. The Open Day provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors to find out valuable information about pregnancy and birthing, meet the staff, midwives and consultants and tour the hospital’s facilities.
