This large NHS hospital is home to Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust Maternity Unit and sees around 4,300 women each year. They offer ante-natal care at weekends and evening ante-natal classes and scans at 12-13 and 19-22 weeks. There is the option of a water birth, and aftercare including help with breastfeeding. There is also a supervisor of midwives available 24 hours of the day and they have a neonatal and special care baby unit.
