The Museum of Great Western Railway is located in Swindon which is known to some as Wiltshires 'railway town'. The museum holds a wealth of information about the history of the social conditions of those who operated the train and those who used it from the early 19th century. There are a number of exhibits as well as film footage, hands on displays, reconstructions and locomotives. In October they have The Great Western Lego Show which showcases models made completely out lego by the UK's Brickish Association. In honour of the steam museum there will be models of steam trains, railway layouts and locomotives on display. The steam museum is open is open everyday of the week and there is a cafe and gift shop on site.
