There is a miniature railway especially for children, the track is 400 yards long that goes along a steep gradient. There is also a land train which stops at Pontprenshitw on the way back to Llandyfriog Riverside so that visitors can take 'celtic leat' (millstream) in a gauge. The train journey takes around hour and you should check their website for public running days. There are picnic days throughout the year and in November there are Halloween specials and to see you into the festive season they host Santa Specials in December. 

We strongly recommend you ring Teifi Valley Railway before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Teifi Valley Railway, www.teifivr.f9.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Teifi Valley Railway hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
