The sanctuary covers 5.5 acres of peaceful land in which live mainly rescue animals such as squirrels, meer cats, otters, raccoons, reptiles etc. Some of the enclosures are indoor ones, eg the Reptile House, and there is an indoor classroom area where children can learn more about the animals they have seen, with a cornered-off play area for toddlers. A barn provides cover where some of the animals can be observed and handled. Open daily 10.30am-4.30pm except over Christmas.

We strongly recommend you ring Ark Animal Sanctuary before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Ark Animal Sanctuary to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Ark Animal Sanctuary hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
