One of the city's most famous landmarks, Norwich Castle was built by the Normans as a Royal Palace 900 years ago. Now a museum and art gallery, the Castle is packed with treasures to inspire and intrigue visitors of all ages. Activities, events and resources are provided for pre-school children and families. There are baby changing facilities, a cafe and a picnic area. Open Mon-Fri 10am-4.30, Sat 10-5pm and Sun 1pm-5pm.
We strongly recommend you ring Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery, www.museums.norfolk.gov.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
