You are guaranteed a u201Cwonderfully woolly experienceu201D at the Sheep and Wool Centre with four sheep shows a day during which 19 different breeds of sheep are exhibited. There is sheep shearing, there are highly trained sheep dogs (herding geese as well as sheep) and lambs come on at the end of the show which children can touch and stroke. A huge restaurant provides a children's menu and there is a café, plus baby-changing facilities. Open from March to end of October from Sunday to Thursday (no shows on Friday and Saturday), 9am to 5.30pm.

We strongly recommend you ring Lakeland Sheep Centre before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices.
