A wonderful hands-on experience at Trotter’s World, home to hundreds of animals, the usual favourites and endangered species, reptiles and birds of prey.  Most of the layout is under cover which is good during wet weather.  There are flying displays at the Birds of Prey Centre and children and grown-ups alike are encouraged to touch animals in the Meet the Animals session (from lemurs to llamas, to wallabies and rats, to tortoises and tarantulas and a boa constrictor!). There are also half hourly presentations throughout the day.  Clown About is a designated indoor soft play and climbing area for the 4-11 year olds with a separate soft play area for the under 4 year olds.  Children’s menus are available, there are baby-changing facilities and good pushchair access.  Open all year except Christmas and New Year’s Day from 10am to 5.30pm (or 4.30pm in the winter).

We strongly recommend you ring Trotters World of Animals before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Trotters World of Animals, www.trottersworld.com, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Trotters World of Animals hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.
