Somerset House is home to a collection three interesting collections of which the Cauthauld Institute houses world-famous Old Master and Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, together with sculpture and applied arts, and a world-class prints and drawings collection which includes works by Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Cézanne and Turner. They have lots of free family workshops for slightly older children as well as ice-skating in the winter. There are also free holiday drop-ins, inspired by all that Somerset House has to offer. Somerset House also hosts the London Craft Fair [normally October] bringing together over 300 of the most innovative and influential international designer-makers and is a rare opportunity to meet the makers and buy their work.
