Stonehurst is a working farm and a great place to bring the family. There's loads for the little ones to do. Once they have made friends with the farm yard animals, they can enjoy the tractor and trailer rides, pony rides and both the indoor and outdoor play areas. As well as having a great day out, you can stock up on home grown, free range and organic farm produce! For older children there is a Motor Museum. The "Farmers Den" tea shop serves homemade cakes, cream teas, hot food and light lunches which are all made with home grown produce. Open Daily 9.30am - 5.00pm all year round, closed 25th December through to 2nd January.

We strongly recommend you ring Stonehurst Farm and Museum before you set off on your family day out, to make sure they are open and to confirm admission prices. It may also be worth visiting the website for Stonehurst Farm and Museum, www.stonehurstfarm.co.uk, to see if there are any special events on the day for which you may have to book a ticket. Please also be aware that if Stonehurst Farm and Museum hosts birthday parties, this may limit the access in the cafe/restaurant areas.

We went to Stonehurst Farm for my 2 year olds birthday. He loved looking at the animals and trying to let the pigs out!! The pony ride does cost 50 p but it is well worth it, had hats are provided and the pony is led. There is a small animal holding area which is under cover, where you get to hold baby animals. They also have a pet hotel and a really good tea room and play area. The food is really good, the musem is of cars, but our two little children were tired so we didn't see it. All in all a good day out. There are sinks and soap so good hand hygine and notices everywhere telling you to wash your hands. Also a good mix of animals, from chickens, donkeys to calves etc. Would recommend.
